not that those people on the clock atm are taking too long....but is it too intrusive for the commish to send an email to some of the guys when it's their pick? obv we want to keep this moving. but some guys haven't logged in to proboards in a while and could be on the clock for over 24 hours. Is a quick email to those 5 or 6 people who don't log in frequently a big deal? just to say 'hey, youre on the clock' ...or maybe this is already being done... Message already sent to Montreal whom is on the clock now.

It's a timed draft, that is the nature of the beast. It really isn't a big deal, know when your draft time is and show up then.

Sorry for missing my pick guys...but I don't think I was ever sent an e-mail even stating that the draft had started.

On our reserve roster do we now have to drop players to move our drafted players on to our rosters, or are we expanding by 5 this year. I have just noticed there have been quite a few releases lately.

I have just noticed there have been quite a few releases lately. Rosters have not expanded. But rosters d0 not have to be officially trimmed down until right before next season starts. One other factor to keep in mind, Players with over 110 NHL career games (55 for netminders) will have to be on the main roster. that is an approved change from last season's format.

I think some discussion might be in order for future drafts...there is plenty of advance notice regarding the dates of the draft. Any GM who is absent and does not make prior arrangements or notify anyone that he is away should not get any picks until the draft is done. Just MHO...

Just MHO... dumb rule, that just weakens those teams and if the GM is absent and ends up being replaced, it makes it more difficult for the Commish to fill that team. don't be selfish.

Whats the big rush, we have tons of time. I agree that it would make replacing GM's if they go awol

I got a PM saying I'm on the clock, but as I look at the round 2 draft thread, it looks to me like it's still Dallas' turn???
