For use to discuss the draft. Not for selections.

With the our draft and the NHL Entry draft less than a week away compounded with the fact that we have a few new GMs, it's probably best that I highlight a few things. - It is extremely important that your fellow GMs be PMed/e-mailed once you have made your selection and they are on the clock and a short list be forwarded to an admin should the selecting GM not be available for their pick. The contact thread is has been updated and cam be found under the registration tab and also here. dirt30.proboards.com/thread/6/current-contact-list- Players who are not on a current DTDL roster and have played no more than 39 career NHL games may be selected. These include the college/CHL players who may have cleared the initial week from their NHL signing this past spring or anyone who may have signed their initial NHL contract after the regular season ended and the roster freeze went into effect. Players eligible to be drafted are NOT limited to players selected in this year's NHL Entry draft. - Any undrafted player who signs their initial NHL contact after we start drafting on June 30th (ie Brunner two years ago) is ineligible to be drafted in our DTDL draft. - Time slots are already posted, however if the GM selecting the pick ahead of you has already picked, you are NOT required to wait for your time slot to make your selection. - If your time slot comes up and the GM ahead of you missed his time, you may go ahead and make your selection. - If you missed your time slot, you may post your selection anytime before the designated time that assigned picks timetable for that round. Failure to do so will result in a pick being made for you based on the highest NHL drafted player still available on the draft-board. - Thus far, New Jersey has not been filled. but Mike (Mbravet) will likely return until his team has been filled. . - There will be a master list of players selected and also one of players who were just picked in the 2014 NHL draft that remain unselected. Please cross check those lists as well as the recent picks made to reduce required re-picks. - Try to keep the draft moving and enjoy the draft.

Ehlers at 5 is interesting. I thought the Tavares/Strome factor was going to boost Dal Colle into that spot. Ehlers is going to be a fascinating player to watch over the next few years. Definitely some star potential there.

Wow...I totally forgot the Bozak factor. I was thinking Leon might get a shot at playing with Hall or Eberle down the road, but clearly neither of those guys can hold a candle to Nylander's new teammate. Want to trade?

I think Dal Colle is going to prove to be a steal at 9.

I agree, dal colle I think would be a steal at 5.
This draft has to be one of the most interesting in years, easy to debate many players going all over the first

We are ahead of schedule, which is great but if we could get a PM indicating we are up it would be appreciated.

I tend to send out a follow up email when I believe it is necessary, but I am administratively deep into two drafts right now and just started drafting in my third league this morning. Never mind that some people also want to talk trade and every time I look up from the computer, the wife needs me to do something. Oh yeah, and there's also this thing called work going on. Bottomline: Make your selection and then contact the next guy.

Goldobin was who I was going to probably pick in that spot, but I am just a little gun shy on the Russian Factor. nice pick chuck - will have to monitor to see if I made the right move.
