I'd be down with HockeysCap being added to the options and switching my vote

the cap hit stays the same for the length of the contract. conversely right now hockeyscap has Ryan O'Reilly listing AAV and Caphit at $7.5. Though his contract is structured as $1M base salary and the rest is signing bonuses.

I'd be down with HockeysCap being added to the options and switching my vote I think we may need to create a new poll, unless this lets you change your vote

I'd be down with HockeysCap being added to the options and switching my vote I will vote to add hockeyscap as an option. Whatever site you guys think would give most up to date and accurate information.

I was hoping that I could edit the poll but looks like its set.
Before I delete the poll and make a new one, does anyone know if I can add a new option without starting a new poll? Looks like hockeyscap has just as many votes as the other ones so its definitely warranted. I just don't want to lose the previous votes unless I have to.

unfortunately no, no way to edit a poll once it has begun.

There was enough unofficial votes for hockeyscap that it warranted updating the poll to include it as an option.
I've checked out hockeyscap and I really like it too. Enough to change my vote.

One thing I noticed about hockeyscap that isn't really germane to our situation but I found interesting nonetheless is if you select salary instead of cap hit and scroll down to the teams minors the salaries shown are what those players are actually getting in the minors and not when they are in the NHL. You have to click on a player to see his NHL salary if he is in the minors section. All other salary sites are the reverse if you can actually click on a player that is where you may see their minor league salary.
But since cap hit reports are far less likely to vary from site to site as compared to salary numbers which ever one is most favored I'm fine with. I see nothing wrong as well to basically list 2 or 3 in the rules in order from which we gather our information. If there is some question regarding a players cap or a delay in reporting from the main site we choose one of the other sites may have the information or something that if at least not 100% confirmed would give a GM an idea of where the number will eventually fall.

Yo, Yo, Yo my b******. Just a couple FYI's for you all.
We are using hockeyscap as our cap hit site and though this actually happened awhile ago just hitting you up with the news that hockeyscap and capfriendly are merged into one site under the capfriendly banner effectively making capfriendly our go to site.
Also as of a couple days ago or so generalfanager has been shut down as the founder/creator Tom Poraszka has been hired by the new NHL franchise in Las Vegas.

NHL teams are finally buying up the right people...every team should have a capologist. If any of you have watched the movie Moneyball you'd see how much a difference it makes. It costs money to make money so the salary these guys will get paid will come back ten fold.
On a second note good to see mtlgm is around with one eye or two or what have you.... Cheers!
