Just a reminder to all GM’s that the roster limitation rules are lifted during the offseason. The reserved players and the minor roster limit have been removed in Fantrax for the offseason. This is so GM’s can proceed with drafting players in the DTDL draft without having to drop any players from their current roster.
Keep in mind, all GM’s will need to ensure their rosters are legal a week before the start of the regular season .

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I have a guy in my 6th year dynasty league who is interested in getting info on the league and the available teams. His email is maestrello.marco@gmail.com
Totally vouch for him. Very active and loves fantasy hockey.

Also James if he's interested, SCFHL2 has a couple openings. Both pretty much just opened up, as life is too hectic for one GM and the other one had filled a vacant team only to leave after tow weeks without doing anything. PM me if he's interested in that league and get him here to fill a spot at least.

Since we are to be legal a week before the season starts it's very likely that obviously going to be on IR players may not yet be placed on IR in Fantrax as the teams themselves won't have to do it until before the season starts. With roster limitations lifted i as well as others I'm sure signed some extra bodies knowing we were going to need a couple extra or whatever. But if the obviously injured(as an example in my case Fehr, Seidenberg, not even counting Nathan Horton will be on IR for sure, no question. If not listed as IR in fantrax those players who may have been replacements and were signed as such end up needing to be dropped and then hopefully resigned, making the whole exercise of signing potential replacements pointless. Since i was not here last season is there some start of season provision to kind of figure this in. Not trying to shirk the rules or look for a work around really, just claryfing things before In start killing players, er making moves I mean.

Two things:
1) If memory serves, I think that we're meant to be roster compliant the Sunday before the season starts, i.e. the 4th as opposed to the 1st.
2) The IR issue that you've raised has been present for a while. Frustrating indeed. I don't recall us ever having a provision for it; just one of those things that you have to deal with in making your decisions as to who to drop to become roster/cap compliant. I'd be open to some kind of "relief" provision allowing guys to go on IR but it might be administratively difficult to determine which guys are "obviously" IR-eligible.

Thanks Sami, 1) Pretty much just going off of post number one here with regards to roster submission. 2)Yeah not really looking for a rule change but an opening night roster submission is a little different than an in season injury and subsequent roster move. If it fact it is the Sunday before players may in fact be IR'ed but it's still a crapshoot. In terms of an ineligible for the minors player is sent down by the parent club so we can send then down anyways by providing an official link detailing the move. In what thread would we post this is so there is a record of it? Thanks.

Minnesota was the other available team when I joined and hasn't been filled and Chicago had to leave during the draft for health reasons.

Is anyone working to get these teams filled before the season starts? Couldn't tell you, I am a mere foot soldier in the Dirty 30 army. Working on trying to fill a couple recent vacancies in another league where I sort of have some mod duties.
