Hello everyone! Thanks for accepting me into your league. I thought I'd post a little about me as an introduction and in hopes of facillitating some trades (I love to trade).
I'm born and raised in Buffalo, NY (yes, I'll admit... I'm a Sabres fan) but currently living in Milwaukee, WI. I was originally a baseball fan until 1994 when I watched the Rangers-Canucks in the Stanley Cup Final and fell madly in love with the game. My favorite player growing up was Pavel Bure. I think he was the one who got me so addicted to this new game that year. I grew up watching Hockey Night in Canada and lived for the late Saturday nights I could watch the Canucks. I'm now 30 and work with a large Pharmacy Benefits Manager called Catamaran (based out of Illinois).
I've been playing fantasy hockey since college when I was rooming with a bunch of Rangers fans, hence my current obsession with Henrik Lundqvist. I'm stoked to be the current GM of the Rangers as I'm a huge fan of theirs. I know my team's a huge project but I'm not scared of the work involved. I'm currently running two dynasty leagues (one through Fantrax [3 years], the other through Yahoo [5 years]). This league will be a challenge for me as I generally draft very strong and am a contender; not so much here... but as I said, I welcome a challenge. I've never participated in a salary cap league before but it's been something I've wanted to try for a while now. Please bear with me while I adjust to the rules and processes here. I will catch on quickly and become a force in this league. I did not take this project on to finish last every year.
More in-depth about me as a fantasy hockey GM: I'm very interested in prospects; it's definitely my sweet spot if you're offering me a trade. I've done a lot of research and feel that I'm pretty well-versed. I also love trading. I'm one of those rare creatures that is ALWAYS willing to kick tires. If you see me online that means I'm ready to talk. Don't ever hesitate to contact me if something catches your eye.
Again, thanks for welcoming me into your family here. I am very excited and look forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully making some trades with you!
