If we have two options that get around the same amount of votes and one that gets a few but is clearly not going to win, we will redo the poll with only those two leading options in it.
Any questions or suggestions for more voting options, let me know. Thanks.

I voted for the "can only be acquired threw the draft", but you need to clarify whether the other systems are a waiver based system that helps the worse teams make claims over the better teams, and not just first come-first serve. Also, regardless of this poll, the original FA prospects signed in season 1 need to be rescinded and added to this draft, as was set in the rules for the first half of the season, for the season. All those signings (unfortunately for me) are invalid, and can be drafted in this draft.

i wasn't really going to both with rescinding players unless you all want that to happen. I'll make another poll if we should do first come or waiver priority.

option 2 means you can pick a player with a NHL contract or has their rights owned whenever through signings or the draft.
option 3 means you can pick anyone up with a NHL contract or has their rights owned up to the end of the DTDL season through signings. After the season ends they can only be had via the draft.

Voted for "only via draft", but if possible, i'd like to change my vote to "via draft or at other times", because it fits better with my suggestion below, which would reflect the actual NHL CBA, since real life FAs aren't eligible to play for their new team when signed on December 1st or later.
I suggest the following rule: "Picking up DTDL Free Agents: All DTDL Free Agents may be picked up by any team on a first come, first serve basis, with the following exception: Free agents signing a contract with an NHL club after December 1st, may only be picked up during the following year's Entry draft."

I really don't care what the rule is as long as everyone follows it.

option 2 means you can pick a player with a NHL contract or has their rights owned whenever through signings or the draft. option 3 means you can pick anyone up with a NHL contract or has their rights owned up to the end of the DTDL season through signings. After the season ends they can only be had via the draft. so option #3 implies that there is some sort of FA prospect roster freeze after the season ends? where as in #2 there is no off-season freeze?

That's what I took it to mean. If this is incorrect I may wish to change my vote.

that is right. I don't think you'll need to change your vote.

ok= what are we going to do about prospetcs acquired via the draft or through FA who are then waived, and clear(with less than 39 gms played) will they be ineligible for draft and treated as other regular FA's?

I would assume that they would be treated like any other FA during the year. If they go unclaimed during the DTDL season then they like all other FAs will be frozen until the next season starts EXCEPT since they are prospects they can be drafted. If they are waived during the season then they'll be treated like any other FA.
