Can anyone explain why the new Colorado GM was assigned a pick and didn't show up to draft? Was there an excuse given?

I gave him until early this morning to make his selection. No selection was made, therefore he was assigned a pick by league rules. Can't say what's going on with him, but not a good sign. Same GM who was unresponsive to your messages earlier I believe.

The rule for round 2 is that a pick is assigned the day after the pick is missed, so maybe assigned the pick a bit early but hopefully he is still with us.

Correct, never heard back. The way I see it all new GM's should enter on a probationary period. If you can't even show up for the draft that is a major red flag unless there was an excuse given.

I just recruited two replacements in 24 hours and I guarantee they'll be high quality GM's. If you dont' think we can find 30 quality GM's then what's the point of a 30 team league?

He just made his 3rd rd pick. He's not the only guy who missed a pick so far. Unless we're demanding explanations from them all, I say we leave him be...

I am not saying it isn't important to find active GM's but cut new people you don't know a bit of slack before we start trashing them.

If expecting a GM to show up and make their picks is 'trashing' then I guess I am.

This is exactly the time of year we should be purging dead weight. New GM's are excited to come in and take over a franchise in the middle of the draft, it's the BEST time to find replacements. Are we really aiming so low?
