Please vote on how you want the lottery to be conducted and the rules with it.

What is the process that would be used for a DTDL lottery?? would we be using a random number generator? is it based off of real-life performance?

I think it makes the most sense to just use the NHL draft lottery results as much as possible so the 8th seeded team (after all sanctions are taken into account) would move into the fourth as the 8th slotted Devils did in the NHL. If the 8th selecting seed after sanctions are applied is a sanctioned team than the lucky team will be the next highest seed (7th most likely). I think that makes sense if a few of you agree to that than I can make a version of the DTDL entry draft order for the first round modeled after the NHL.
A random generator could be used to but it might give us some crazy results like the last team eligible for the lottery winning since I don't know of any program that would replicate each team's odds.
Let me know what you think.

I support using the real NHL results, with sanctioned teams being replaced by the next higher placed team in the rankings.

Alright guys so only 10 of you have voted but the 10 of you have made a decision because the others have had ample time to respond and have not. So I will work on a draft priority list with option A implemented. More on that in my upcoming post.

Thought maybe do draft lottery after sanctions were implemented, so the ones that received sanctions, get a reduced chance of higher pick. Just a thought.

I'd rather not go through another poll for something that minor. I think just excluding them for the lottery is simplest. I just think the current plan keeps them from potentially benefiting at all from it because nothing would be more unfair than someone who tanked getting ahead of someone who didn't one way or another. If you guys think differently let me know.

Good job guthe Just waiting for the JETS ( or whatever we are calling them) to come home to Manitoba.

i think in terms of fantasy hockey the majority take the playoffs and offseason to spend time doing other thigns they had been neglecting through the regular season

If a person takes over a team they should not be penalized because of previous owner

If a person takes over a team they should not be penalized because of previous owner Valid point, we may need to post the final draft order that we will be using, then everyone will know where they stand.
