I would like an explanation as to why someone changed my goalie tonight. I had Kovar active because he wouldn't play - that was my best chance of winning all goalie categories. A good game from Bob does me no good, and a bad game could cost me multiple categories. Clemmensen couldn't catch up on his own.
Now Bob is active and Kovar is reserve.
The point of head to head is to manage your team to win your weekly matchups...which could mean benching someone like a goalie or a bad faceoff/ +- guy.
I also don't like someone changing my lineup and not telling me at all.
The only reason for one of you to do this is to accuse me of tanking. I don't have any of my own draft picks...
I just don't get it.

I was going through the teams, a few are inactive and I am making line changes for them, so that was entirely my mistake. I'll fix it.

instead of doing lineups for inactive teams we should be investigating why they are inactive. everyone misses a line change here and there, but if it is a constant issue without a legit excuse then they need to be replaced, simple as that.

by inactive, I meant the teams that currently are GMless, though I was in a hurry and thought it was something that I had missed. But there are certainly some teams in this league who are not keeping up with their daily line changes.

I think that in the off-season we need to have a "summit meeting" ...that is to say a forum where all GM's must respond. If there are GM's who fail to do so by a specified date, they are gone. If GM's respond who were in violation of league rules during the season, then the admins should be able to question them and deem if they should remain in the league. Nothing ruins a league faster than GM's who will not play by the rules.

It's good in theory, but considering we have 2 empty teams as it is a byproduct of that is more empty teams.
That said, I agree that if a GM isn't willing to compete in a "daily line changes" league, the league is better off without them.
At that point, contraction might be required and if that is required, so are more rules/roster changes needed.

I would hate to see this league reduce teams/GM's. Most of us have been guilty of not getting daily changes in. I think most of us do try to do it but sometimes it doesn't get done. As long as it isn't an ongoing thing with any GM, I don't think any of us has an issue. When it gets so repetitive that it breaks the spirit of friendly competition, it needs to be addressed.
I think that the admins are keeping track of things. I'm fairly new to this league and am not trying to tell anyone what to do. But if enforcing league rules is going to cost us participants, I have concerns.

Just want to point out that finding competent and active GMs is and always will be an ongoing task. Sorta the nature of the beast when your trying to maintain a league of this size. Life issues simply happen to all of us. Jobs, schooling, marriage, family ... can and will take their toll. Lockouts don't help either. In the meantime, I appreciate the efforts that the majority of our GMs make on a consistent basis.
