1. 24 June 2010:
The Calgary Flames made the first trade in the history of the franchise, moving their 10th round Inaugural pick (Olli Jokinen) and 11th round Inaugural pick (Dan Hamhuis) to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Curtis Glencross and a 12th round Inaugural pick (Bryan Allen).
2. 9 July 2010:
The Flames traded down in the fourth round of the entry draft, sending the Carolina Hurricanes the 107th pick (Ryan McDonagh) and a 20th round Inaugural pick (Ryan Shannon) in exchange for an 18th round Inaugural pick (Nick Shultz) and the 118th pick in the entry draft (Olivier Roy).
3. 13 July 2010:
In a precursor to a second transaction that day, the Flames dealt their 8th round pick in the entry draft (Markus Kruger) and their 22nd round Inaugural pick (Darcy Tucker) to the Vancouver Canucks. In return, the Flames acquired a 19th round Inaugural pick (Tom Poti) and an 11th round pick in the entry draft (Jerome Samson).
4. 13 July 2010:
Having ensured that the Flames would still have a pick in the 19th round to fill out their defensive corps, GM Sami contacted GM Gates of the Nashville Predators to pull the trigger on a previously negotiated deal. Adding some much needed goaltending depth to the system, Calgary packaged their own 19th round Inaugural pick (Matt Bradley) and a 7th round pick in the entry draft (Benn Ferriero) to land Mark Dekanich and a pick in the 21st round of the Inaugural Draft (Brian Boyle).
5. 3 November 2010:
Looking to shed some salary for next year's RFAs, the Flames moved Nick Schultz, Jake Newton and a 2011 4th round draft pick (Travis Ewanyk to St. Louis in exchange for a 2011 5th round draft pick (subsequently traded) and Hall Gill.
6. 13 January 2011:
With Derek Roy injured and the Flames still in contention at the mid-way mark, it was time to make a move. The Flames sent Shea Weber, Colin Wilson, and Nino Niederreiter off to the National Capital Region to play for the Kanata Senators. In exchange, Joe Thornton, Erik Johnson, and Marco Sturm made the trip out West.

Keeping busy, the Flames moved David Booth, Tom Poti, and Michael Stone to Philadelphia for Brian Rafalski and Matt Calvert.

A non-hockey move was required to adjust the team's financials thanks to Stan Bowman's generous contract extension of Patrick Sharp. The response was the Flames moving the aforementioned Sharp along with Erik Johnson to Edmonton. Coming back down the QE2 were Kyle Okposo, Ryan Whitney and Mike Modano.

Covering for injury proneness at LW, the Flames moved locker-room favourite Brian Boyle as well as Kyle Cumiskey in exchange for another hit-machine in Justin Abdelkader and defenceman Ladislav Smid.

The Flames acquired top-line sniper Thomas Vanek from the New Jersey Devils, along with Tom Gilbert, Artem Anisimov and William Karlsson. Going to New Jersey were Calgary's 1st round pick (Andrei Vasilevski), 3rd round pick (Logan Nelson, Patric Hornqvist, Marcus Johansson, Joel Ward and Shane Prince.

The deal also included a 2014 conditional draft pick (Florida's third) in the event that Brodeur retires without playing the 2013/14 season.

In need of some immediate secondary scoring, the Flames and Hurricanes hammered out a long-negotiated deal that saw Radim Vrbata and Maxim Kitsyn come to Cowtown, with Saku Koivu, Stefan Noesen, Garret Sparks, Mark Dekanich and a 2013 4th round draft pick (Chad Ruhwedel) going to Carolina.
