Florida is GM-less, the highest real drafted player will be selected for that franchise....

as a GM that deosn't pick until the end of the third I could take over the Rangers draft for them (given that he has left the building) if people are cool with that. Gives the picks more flavour than just "best player available"

Gives the picks more flavour than just "best player available" While I appreciate the offer, that would set a precedent that has not been discussed nor approved by the admins. So probably not at this time.

So probably not at this time. setting a precedent means we are beholden to it as a rule forever. That wouldn't be the case at all. That being said, I see no issue with it or any need for it. Before I took over the Islanders, they had an auto-draft. It didn't turn out stellar but it didn't kill the team either.

It's not necessary, alot of times we pass up more sure things for upside leaving the autopick with decent selections. Just thought I'd throw it out there as an option to help prevent the squad from getting a bunch of defensive prospects that people passed up on. Jost is who i would have selected anyways

in a league where defensive stats aren't counted, it could be a killer. defensive prospects are difficult to project at the draft. it's really 6 of one or half dozen of the other.

Just pointing out that I own pick 29 and not ANA. Don't want it to cause a stir as it approaches

Hulstrom - isn't that an ineligible pick - he was never drafted - shouldn't he have to wait till F/A opening? 43# wpg take Linus hultstrom Signed by Fla in fa before our draft started

Hulstrom - isn't that an ineligible pick - he was never drafted - shouldn't he have to wait till F/A opening? 43# wpg take Linus hultstrom Signed by Fla in fa before our draft started I'm pretty sure it is legal. Any player signing their initial contract prior to the beginning of our draft is eligible to be drafted. If he would have signed after our draft started, he would have to be claimed during the first week of the season and not in the FA period beginning in August. Players previously drafted by NHL teams with less than (39?) games played in the NHL and anyone that has previously signed an NHL contract are fair game to be drafted. This is my understanding. If this is incorrect please let me know.
