In the next few days I'll be posting the rest of the 2011 draft rounds in their own threads with the appropriate placements for each team including trades.
I want to start the draft on June 26 as many others have told me starting a week later would cause issues. Picking can commence at midnight but no one will be on the clock until 8 am US Eastern on the 26th. If people want to start it the evening of the 25th we can do that too. Please let me know your thoughts on that. I also need to hear if anyone is going to be gone for significant portions during the draft.
Draft Rules
1) The time on the clock starts as soon as the previous pick is made. You have 5 hours on the clock at that point. You pick by replying to the thread and Buffalo will update the main big board for each round as soon as he can. If you think you might miss a pick send a GM that isn't picking for awhile a list of a few players you'd like them to select or send them to the honorable, Yas Guthe/Buffalo. Also post or message someone that you might miss your pick. PLEASE do not take all 5 hours unless you have to. Try to keep the draft moving. The Co-Commishs reserve the right to shorten the amount of drafting time if we feel it is needed.
2) Since we have GMs in different timezones and we all need to sleep some of the time. You can pick whenever your spot comes up regardless of if it falls under the 12 (midnight to 8am) Eastern US time where no one's time is on the clock. If our friends particularly the one's in Europe/Germany have any problems let me know.
3) Anyone who goes over the time limit will lose an hour for their on the clock time after getting a warning the first time. UNLESS they have told someone in advance and have a VERY good reason for missing. Once their 5 hours has expired the next GMs can continue and SHOULD continue the draft skipping that spot until they find the time to make a pick or notify the league. If after one full round, the pick has not been used the Co-Commishs reserve the right to make a pick for the GM if there has been no correspondence.
Remember the best thing to do is leave a list and check with that person that they will be around if you can't make the pick when it is likely to come up
4) I request that when we get closer to draft time that people post in a thread when their "Work/Vacation/Time they're Busy" and won't be able to make picks.
Let me know if anyone has any issues with these rules. I also need some one to volunteer to make a master list of all players taken so people can search and find out who has been taken (if you try to select someone who has already been selected the draft keeps moving but you can make a valid pick up when ever you can).
