Post-deadline roster update - these teams have too many players in minors. Boston 26 Buffalo 28 Chicago 28 Dallas 27 Los Angeles 28 Nashville 28 NYR 30 NY Rangers still not compliant. Only team non-complaint.

Calgary has Mark Dekanich on their IR, not eligible Sorry, missed him coming off. That was a quick stint on the IR. Bizarre. So I just checked. Fantrax still has him listed as IR. Yahoo has him listed as IR. What's the issue here exactly? I've moved him to my farm team for now but, absent some reason that he's ineligible that I'm not understanding, I think that I should be able to have him on the IR. Please advise.

Fantrax doesn't have him listed as IR. If they do, put him back on there. Fantrax doesn't have a way to force you to take him off of your IR once he is ineligible but you aren't able to put him on IR if he isn't listed as IR.

Granted Zaph commissioner abilities on Fantrax to police up some of these violators.

Granted Zaph commissioner abilities on Fantrax to police up some of these violators. I was able to straighten all bud Dallas' roster, as the move of MacDonald off of the IR makes their roster invalid.

Sorry, wasn't paying too much attention to Khabi - I figured (incorrectly) that Fantrax would take guys off IR automatically. Roster legal now.

Buffalo - Tedenby was listed on minors, has played 114 career NHL games. I moved him to bench and Jovanovski to IR to make room on the bench but now he is under the Salary Floor.
Colorado - Gudbranson has played 123 NHL games and is listed on minors. This needs addressing
Dallas - Bowman has played 124 NHL games and is listed on minors. This needs addressing as putting him on your bench will put you over the salary cap.
Los Angeles - Daniel Briere is no longer on IR, I have moved him to your bench.
New Jersey - Tyson Strachan was just called up today, but he has played 120 NHL games. I have put him on your bench
Phoenix - Cam Janssen was on your bench, he has played 316 NHL games, I have put him on your bench.
St. Louis - James Neal is no longer on IR, this needs to be addressed - Peter Harrold is no longer on IR, this needs to be addressed
Vancouver - Justin Falk has played has played 111 NHL games and needs to be moved up from minors
I don't claim this list is complete, not a lot of fun having to police GM's in the league anyways.

Is there a way to just set it up in fantrax that once a player is no longer eligible for the minors it doesn't still show up as an option for them? Seems this should be an option.

I believe that is something we are going to look into. I am not posting this to point fingers or call people out. Many of these errors might be fantrax errors. but they are things that need to be addressed to fall into league rules. part of the problem with that is when a player is sent down to the minors in the NHL, they are eligible for our minors, but when they return to the NHL, fantrax doesn't have a way to force GM's to put the player back on their active or bench roster. the problem of players on IR not being eligible and having to be moved off of it when they come off was supposed to be fixed but doesn't seem to be either.
